We certainly have our favourite games that we like to play and make, but we love creating games in general. Because of this we are able to put all our passion, energy and creativeness into every game we develop. Whether it's our own idea or for one of our clients, we believe in making the best game we can.

Benjamin Lee

co-founder, managing director

Ben has 20+ years experience in the computer software and 3D graphics industry and has extensive knowledge of all other aspects of software development. He has grown Blowfish Studios over 9 years into a globally competitive video game and virtual reality development house and has built great relationships with numerous technology providers and manufacturers such as Apple, Sony, Oculus, Valve, Microsoft, Nvidia, Google and Samsung. The studio has created games that have been featured worldwide and subsequently gathered a large client base for its development services, culminating in Blowfish winning a NSW Export award in 2016 for the Small Business category. His game development career started in 1998 when he worked on PC based arcade games, Thunderboats and Top Down Racer, for Perception Pty Ltd. Ben has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering.

Aaron Grove

co-founder, creative director

Aaron is an award winning Visual Effects Supervisor with over 10 years experience, creating high-end visual effects for television commercials and music videos in Australia, United Kingdom and United States of America. Aaron’s creativity and knowledge of 3D & visual effects (technical and artistic) combined with his passion for games gives Aaron the ability to produce beautifully crafted games. Aaron was selected for the prestigious Art Express program in high school and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication and has worked on numerous award-winning television commercials. Most recently winning a 2010 D&D Yellow Pencil Award (3D Supervisor) for the “Two Weeks” music video by Grizzly Bear, directed by Patrick Daughters. Aaron has also worked as Visual Effects Supervisor with some of Hollywoods leading Directors: Roman Coppola, Jake Scott, Joe Pytka, Philip Engstrom, Brian Beletic, Joel Pront, Daniel Askill, Glue Society and many others.
